Daniel Otis Courville

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Otis Courville on October 16, 2024, at the age of 61 years following a brief but brave battle with cancer. Danny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He lived a life full of passion and joy, leaving behind cherished memories for all who knew him. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Deonn Courville, his brother Paul Courville, son Brandon Courville, his daughter Paige and husband Nathan George along with his cherished grandchildren, Halston and Grayson George, his stepson Colton Turner with Fiancé Julie Aldava, and his stepdaughter Catlyn and husband Antonio Hernandez, stepson Jeremy O’Hair and stepdaughter Tiffany O’Hair. He was preceded in death by his Dad Paul Courville and Mom Rita Bayless along with his Stepdad Julian Scott Bayless and sister Nelda Bayless. Danny’s legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments will forever be etched in our hearts. Danny was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 10, 1963. He spent most of his childhood in Bossier City, Louisiana, and was a proud graduate of Airline High School. Even as a teenager, Danny was a hard worker and had big plans for his future. He moved to Texas after high school and began his 41 year career with UPS. He used to always joke that he was a simple country boy just driving a truck but those who loved him knew he was so much more than that. With Danny's love for the outdoors, he started his business Courville Outdoors. Danny and Deonn worked countless hours managing the ranches and delivering deer blinds and they were very proud of their accomplishments. When not working he loved to travel, and the destination usually involved a beach and beautiful sunsets. During football season, Danny cheered on the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed going to the games. Whether he was out working, traveling, or cheering on the Cowboys his dedication to something was always known to everyone. In lieu of flowers, Danny would love for everyone to support his dream of another Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl victory and for everyone to purchase deer blinds. As we celebrate the life of Danny Courville, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives, the laughter we shared, and the love that will endure. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. And always remember GO COWBOYS!!!
