Harold Cantrell

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Harold Gilbert Cantrell of Riverside, California was born on September 4, 1941 to Hershel Gurney and Letha Edna (Rich) Cantrell in Jacksboro, Texas. It was their fifth child. He passed away on Saturday February 9, 2008 in Weatherford, Texas. He was 66 years old. He acquired his AA degree in Business and Real Estate and was a veteran of the United States Army during the Lebanon Crisis. He married Jeanne Louise Ward on February 15, 1963 in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Cantrell was a active member of the community wherever he was. He was a member and teacher at Magnolia Avenue Baptist Church in Riverside, California. He was a member of the Arlington Rotary Club for 30 years; President of Mutual Water Company of Glen Avon for 15 years; campaign manager for the Reagan-Bush government elections in 1984 and was a Real Estate broker since 1970. He also was a member of the Board of Realtors of Inland Empire since 1970. He was employed by Real Estate Counselors, Inc. Mr. Cantrell and his wife Jeanne had one daughter Karisa and two sons Rudell and Laran. He is preceded in death by his parents Hershel and Letha Cantrell and one sister Bettie Partin. He is survived by his wife of over forty years Jeanne; his daughter Karisa Cantrell Lincoln of Vilseck, Germany and her husband John C. Lincoln who is currently in Iraq; two sons Rudell Cantrell and wife Rebecca of Colton, California and Laran Cantrell and wife Crystal of Riverside, California; three grandchildren Roanic G.Cantrell, Emerie B. Cantrell and Hannah R. Hearn; one sister Bobbie Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska; five brothers Nolan Cantrell of Weatherford, Texas, Olan Cantrell of Riverside, California, Wilbert Cantrell of Loma Linda, California, Ned Cantrell of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Ed Cantrell of Prescott Valley, Arizona; his aunts Mae Cantrell of Antelope, Texas, Oneta Amburn of Olney, Texas, Evelyn Rich of Jacksboro and Oma Lee Reeves of Fort Worth, Texas. Service wil be Wednesday February 13, 2008 at 2:00pm at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro, Texas with burial to follow at Lynn Creek Cemetery in Jack County, Texas. Memorials may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Research.
