Terry Weldon Lewis

Terry Weldon Lewis, a devoted family man, proud Texas rancher, and loyal Red Raider, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on December 8, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Terry grew up with a love for the land that would shape his entire life. His dedication to agriculture began early and guided his academic path. Terry graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1968. He spent two years at Tarleton State University before transferring to Texas Tech University. Terry took immense pride in his time as a Texas Tech Red Raider, graduating in 1972. This education fueled his successful career as a rancher, where he applied his knowledge to manage his land and herds with integrity, resilience, and skill. His legacy is built on the values of hard work, honesty, and a deep appreciation for agriculture. Terry was baptized at 13 years old and is a devout member of the Church of Christ in Jacksboro, Texas. He brought his faith with him everywhere he went and was one to lead in prayer at his Church of Christ. Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Susie Lewis. He leaves behind a loving family, including his sons and their wives: Doug and Kati of Shallowater; Shane and Jana of Corinth; and Cody and Jennifer of Corinth. He was a proud and doting grandfather to eight grandchildren: Hudson, Jackson, Cannon, and KlaraJane; Jorja and Jake; and Emma and Clayton. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy, and her husband, Ricky Hyde of Stephenville, his niece, Christi, her husband, John and their daughter, Haley Bloomer. Also, nieces Jo, and Pam and son Bradley. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Marie Lewis of Jacksboro, his nephew Harold D. Nix, half-sister Dolores Pennington, and niece Lana Posey. Visitation will be on Friday at Coker Funeral Home from 6-7 pm. The service will be held to honor Terry’s life and legacy at Jacksboro Church of Christ on Saturday, December 6th, at 11 am.
