Dorothy Jaunita (Nita) Ogle

January 29, 1926 - November 23, 2017

Dorothy Jaunita (Nita) Clifton Ogle passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017. Nita was born on January 28, 1926 to John Henry Clifton and Lillie Mae Farrar Clifton in Newport, Clay County, Texas. Nita married Ray Ogle (a member of The Lost Battalion) on May 24, 1950 and together they raised 4 children. Nita had many talents, most important was being a good wife and mother of 4. She loved her Lord and Saviour , and cherished her family and loved being surrounded by them, she enjoyed cooking, camping, and fishing, and spending time with lifelong friends, She was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God from 1983-2000, she then moved to Decatur, Texas and joined Twin Oaks Assembly in Bridgeport, Texas. In 2013 she moved back to Bowie and lived at Independence Hall the remainder of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray Ogle of 47 years, her daughter Dorothy LaNelle Low, grandson Samuel Scott Low, great-grandson Cohlson, Sister Wysonda Stockard of Chico, Texas, Brother Jesse Clifton of Chico, Texas. She is survived by sons Jerry Rogers and wife Becky of Mansfield, Texas, Eddie Rogers and wife Tonya of Chico, Texas, daughter Terry Ogle Shields and husband Gary of Bowie, Texas, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, sister Alma Sparks of Chico, Texas, sister-in-law Kay Clifton of Chico, Texas, brother-in-law Gerald Ogle and wife Ann of Montague, sister-in-law Glenda Ogle of Olney, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends including The Lost Battalion. God’s angel took our Mother to her Heavenly home where she is now rejoicing with her Heavenly Father and many loved ones where she is waiting for us to join her one day soon.
