Fidel Lopez passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 in Jacksboro, Texas. He was 42 years old. Fidel was born November 20, 1979 in Haskell, Texas to Encarnacion “John” Lopez and Margaret Arciba Lopez. A visitation will be held 9AM to 10 Am Friday, February, 11, 2022 at Christian Missions in Jacksboro, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 10 AM. Burial will take place at 10 AM on Saturday, February, 12, 2022 at Abilene Municipal Cemetery in Abilene, Texas. Fidel is preceded in death by his father and brother Rogelio Lopez. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Margaret Arciba Lopez; children, Fidel Lopez Jr. and Kaylea Maples, Rianna Lopez, Adrianna Lopez, Elijah Marquez, Dominic Marquez and Lana Lopez; siblings, Alisa Leyva, Edolina Pracht, Ruben Lopez Sr., Gerald Lopez Sr., Eloy Lopez, Ruben Lopez Jr. (nephew but considered younger brother); 2 grandchildren Kinzlea Jade Lopez and Divianna Marie Lopez; along with many extended family members and friends. A message from the family: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Fidel Lopez Sr. Although Fidel’s life ended before we were ready, the time that he spent in our lives was memorable and full of joy. Fidel moved on from this world this past week. With sadness in our hearts, we find solace in knowing that he’s in a better place. None of us were expecting the sudden death of Fidel. While we are shocked and filled with grief, we know that he would want us to celebrate his life instead of mourning his death. We will let family members, friends, and acquaintances of Fidel, know about memorial services once everything is finalized. At this time we just ask for discretion, prayers, and thoughts of comfort for the family as we go through this difficult time.
