Jodie was born in Jacksboro February 10, 1935 to parents Sidney J. Reeves and wife Birdie Crow. She started working at nine years old as a dishwasher in her father’s café. And she worked in the restaurant business until her retirement in 2010. Many of those years were spent as the cook and owner of Jodie’s Café in Bridgeport. When Jodie wasn’t cooking and operating the café she could be found doing evangelistic work. She pastored several churches, and for many years she was an active member of Cuba Church in Bridgeport. Jodie was one to do things her own way, how she wanted them done, and when she wanted them done. Even after moving into the nursing home when dementia set in, Jodie escaped from the nursing home four different times, once by scaling an eight-foot privacy fence! She leaves behind her loving family, including niece Barbara Mullins and husband Kelly of Bridgeport, nephew Jim Reeves and wife Cindy of Frisco, Texas, and numerous other family. Jodie, the youngest child, was welcomed into Heaven by her immediate family. Funeral Arrangements are under the care of Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas.
