Perrin Leroy Applewhite, of Bryson, Texas, was born on December 21, 1954 to Roy and Erma (House) Applewhite in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 in Decatur, Texas. He was 62 years old. Perry, as everyone knew him as, was a Eagle Scout as well as a Scout Master for Troop 111. He graduated from Jacksboro High School and was a member of the 1971 State Champion Football team. He also was "King of the Track" and drove in Pinks All Out. He also enjoyed dirt track racing, bracket racing, and was a professional skeet shooter. Perry married Peggy Brown on June 27, 1985 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was self-employed in the oil and gas industry. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend. His memory will be cherished by his wife Peggy Applewhite, his daughter Angela Redder and husband Fred, son Jake Applewhite and wife Amber; parents Roy and Erma Applewhite; sister Tracy Braden and husband Randy; grandchildren Katelyn and Levi Redder; and many other extended family members and friends.
