Willie Agnes Stuckey

July 10, 1926 - July 2, 2018

Willie Agnes Stuckey was born July 10.1926 in Jacksboro,Texas. She was the daughter of George Herbert and Rosa Mae Dessie Jamison. She was a survivor of the Great Depression and her Grandfather migrated to Texas from Missouri after the Civil War and settled just North of Jacksboro when the area was plagued by battles between Native Americans and US Calvary. She was a devout Christian, a hard worker, peaceful and very loving. She instilled her Christian values in her family which they carry on to this day Willie worked many jobs. She and her husband ran the Bowie Dairy Hut Drive Thru from 1952-1964 then later, she became the administrator of a small nursing home in Bowie, Texas. Willie was a member of First Baptist Church Jacksboro and volunteered many hours at the Jack County Clothes Closet. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Leland Stuckey; brother L.D. Jamison and 2 sisters, Irene and Rosa. Willie is survivied today by her son, Gary Stuckey of Bowie, Texas; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Jacksboro on Sunday at 3:00. For information on the upcoming burial please visit the Willie Agnes Jamison Stuckey Facebook page.
